Prep for Superman Camping
June 23, 2006
by Alex Billington
So I've been working on some prep and details for the upcoming Superman Returns camp-out / midnight showing next Tuesday. We're taking our experience at the theatre to a "whole new level." FS.net will be bringing actual fun and goodtimes (and free stuff) to all those who come and camp out and wait in line early, too.
Most recently we've secured the trutsy and delicious Chipotle as our food sponsor providing our meals for the entire time and possibly getting us some other free things/food to give away to the line. We're working on some other sponsors to try and get even more awesome stuff, including hopefully free snacks at the theatre, etc. In addition to the full-blown camp we'll have setup outside the doors of the theatre, we'll probably bring some quality entertainment to pass the anxious 3 hours of waiting inside the actual theatre.I love how what is only just about 24 hours of waiting actually feels like, in terms of energy and excitement, a week long festival. However all these details will come later as they develop.
Again, we will be doing live blogging and coverage about our experience and from our base camp at the theatre. For now I've just got to finalize some things and work on more details before Saturday. I will be out of town all weekend from Saturday to Monday at a funeral, so unfortunately I have to work my ass off tomorrow. I'm even coming straight from the airport to the theatre when I arrive back on Monday! Keep watch for all the big excitement!
