At a press conference in San Diego at Comic-Con 2006, director Darren Lynn Bousman confirmed that if Saw III does well, they would "all be happy" to return for Saw IV.
Does this movie have a long running series ahead of it? It seems its possible that it may.

Sounds interesting. I've been reading a lot of forum posts where people are all upset about this, but personally I'm going to wait and see how Saw III goes because I cast judgement on a Saw IV. Who knows, if Saw III is good enough, Saw IV might be welcomed.
