Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny Release Date Change - Wednesday, November 22!

The highly anticipated comedy starring Jack Black and Kyle Gass of the band Tenacious D, entitled Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny, has changed its release date. The release date is now Wednesday, November 22nd.
The change was likely due to the enormous amount of pressure they've encountered with the other major films and other major happenings on the weekend of November 17th. In addition to the next James Bond film Casino Royale opening up, Warner Brothers' animated family film about penguins, Happy Feet, is also opening as well as the film based off of the best-selling novel Fast Food Nation. And on top of all that, it's the same weekend the new video game systems the Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3 are both released. One hell of a weekend - the biggest weekend for entertainment ever.
Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny will now be opening Thanksgiving week along with Tony Scott's Deja Vu, Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain, and Bob Odenkirk's comedy Let's Go to Prison. A still tough opening, but let's hope for the best success for Tenacious D!
