Worth Watching - October 18: Soderbergh's The Good German Trailer
October 18, 2006
by Alex Billington
Steven Soderbergh is the man. Each and every movie he takes is a complete new and unique idea different from his last. But alas, each one is also fantastic (although I'll admit I never saw that doll factory movie Bubble). Soderbergh is what I'd call one of the few revolutionary filmmakers in Hollywood, along with a few others (Guillermo del Toro for one). His latest film is The Good German, a rather interesting tale, but most importantly, completely black and white. We haven't seen a complete black and white movie since Clooney's 2005 Good Night, Good Luck (which, coincidentally, George Clooney is also in this movie). I don't want to go too much into explaining the plot, because the trailer itself does a good deal of story development. So enjoy!

The Good German also stars Cate Blanchett, Tobey Maguire, and Beau Bridges. It's due out in theaters nationwide on December 25th of this year! What's your take on this trailer and this movie? Leave a comment!
