Saw III Causing People to Faint!
November 1, 2006
by Alex Billington
This is up along the lines of what Hostel director Eli Roth calls the ultimate publicity stunt (that he didn't setup). The BBC reported in an article that 3 people in one night fainted while watching Saw III and paramedics were called at each instance. As much as we all support the attendance of great horror films like Saw III, the paramedic said it the best:
"If you know you're squeamish, don't go," warned a spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service.
"This is obviously a blood-thirsty film. Some of the scenes are fairly horrific," Matthew Ware told the BBC News website.
Either way, quite fun news. I know the Saw III filmmakers will be quite happy - this kind of response is always the "yes! we've done an amazing job" kind. Bravo to Saw III!

Well, I went to see Saw III yesterday. I'd heard people had fainted while watching it and was thinking, yeah right!
Well, about 30 minutes before the end of the film I fainted. I've never ever fainted before, so I was rather confused and in shock! Luckily I managed to tell my friend I was not feeling too good, and managed to leave. I crashed into the wall on the way out, but nothing to serious. I would have been so embarrassed if an ambulance had to come and take me out. Very glad I was able to stumble out myself.
I managed to get through Saw and Saw II without problems!
