The Incredible Hulk Updates: June in 2008 and More Action
November 8, 2006
by Alex Billington
A few new updates have come out about The Incredible Hulk, the sequel, or rather "redo", to the 2003 Hulk movie. A June 27, 2008 release date for the film has been set, however not too many more details are known about the star or story. Eric Bana, who played Bruce Banner aka The Hulk in the 2003 film, will not be returning, and it's all guesses as to who might play the big green guy next.
The good news is on a few elements of it, including the writer and the director. Zak Penn, whose previous credits include X2 and X3, will be writing the script. And Louis Leterrier, who directed The Transporter 1 and 2, and Unleashed previously, will be directing. The latest claim is that this new film will feature plenty more acting and much of that wonderfully intense smashing that Hulk does, more than the story. Essentially what was the downfall to the 2003 film, this "redo" will instead have more action and touch back more on its comic book roots, hopefully being the Hulk movie all the fans wanted but didn't get initially. It's a long way out to tell yet, especially when we don't even have someone to play the Hulk, but we'll get a better feeling soon enough.
