Clive Barker Making an Edgar Allan Poe Film

Hollywood Reporter announced that horror mastermind Clive Barker of Hellraiser fame is teaming up with Walden Media on a young adult thriller about the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe. Barker will be developing the story and producing, one of his many projects in addition to the Hellraiser remake slated for 2008. The story of the movie will focus on a group of teens who are trying to discover what happened over the last two week's of Poe's life, and in doing so they trigger a curse and evoke his nightmares. Just another teen project, however good to hear more about the endeavors Barker is taking on. No further expected release information is available at the moment - as the film is only just beginning its pre-production.

Sounds kind of cool. I am a big Poe fan so it will be interesting. Sylvester Stallone is writing and directing a movie about Poe's life. Weird I know. That will definitely be interesting.
