great episode guys.
I caught Apocalyptico yesterday- I think it was the most exciting movie of the year- I would LOVE to see a behind-the-scenes look on the making of this movie. I was cracking jokes about Mel Gibson all week- how they should've had his face superimposed on the sun like the little sun-baby face on the teletubbies show and every once in awhile Mel grunts at the tribe in approval or disapproval- Mel Gibson is watching you.
or they should just replace the MGM lion logo with Mel Gibson and he could do his Three Stooges sounds from Lethal Weapon and slap his head.
Anyway, the movie had one or two borderline ridiculous moments, but I had to forgive it because it's a hell of a ride- and the attention to detail in the characters, amazing set pieces, cinematography, sound- you name it- just fantastic. Had a Gladiator/Last of the Mohicans kind of feel- best parts taken from both movies. It made me want to watch Braveheart again- I think it kind of brought me back to that excitement. I can't believe someone could call this the worst movie of the year…compared to what?? Has anyone seen Crank??!! Or Crossover??!!
I enjoyed Barry's cheap shots and I'm so relieved he mentioned the far superior Richard Linklater film for his best flick of the year- I had my boxing gloves ready and I was ready to sock him one for Fast Food Nation, which deserves to be dumped in the trash along with the tray the food came in.
The museum flick won't die- I wish it would. I hate that trailer. It'll make 100 million.
damn.
