Golden Globes Noms Announced; Babel Leads
December 14, 2006
by Alex Billington
There are a couple of awards that I won't cover, and there's a couple I will. The Golden Globes is always the "pre-Oscars" awards that, to me, aren't as big as the Oscars, but only shed some interesting light on just what the Oscar's might hold. Without further ado, the nominees for the Golden Globes have been announced and you can catch them here.
Babel leads the nominees with the most, 7 total. In addition I'm glad to see some particulars mentioned like Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat (who should win) as well as Renee Zellweger in Miss Potter which I just saw last night. And the top for Drama I am in complete agreement with, so definite bravo. However, I am thoroughly disappointed that Children of Men is nowhere to be seen?! Nothing at all, and this is a complete shame. I guess we can't get everything.
