Another Houdini Biopic, Death Defying Acts

A bit of a slow news week... but got some updates on a future project, this time another magician film, from Hollywood Reporter. Continuing along in that trend, The Weinstein Company has bought the rights to a fictional Harry Houdini biopic called Death Defying Acts. There's already one Houdini film in the works, and now you can add this one, too. Death Defying Acts stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as the psychic who tries to con the famous Houdini, played by Guy Pearce, during a love affair. The Weinstein Company will release the film at the Cannes Film Festival first followed by a theatrical release next fall.
