First Grindhouse "Death Proof" Photos with Kurt Russell

We've talked about it before… and even shown you the couple of trailers and footage that's appeared online. But almost all of that has been only for Robert Rodriguez's half of Grindhouse, the half called "Planet Terror." Quentin Tarantino's side, "Death Proof," has yet to have any footage shown or any photos - until today.
Entertainment Weekly has published a little set of photos, which we've featured below, from the upcoming Grindhouse. Among them are some finally good shots of the (in)famous Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike. I'm personally incredibly excited for this film - so enjoy these photos! Grindhouse will be out in theaters on April 6th, 2007.

[...] Those who expect this film to suck ass can also count on Kurt Russell’s vote. Asked by Entertainment Weekly if he’d be doing a cameo in the film, Russell snapped back in his best Plissken style: “F*ck that! I am Snake Plissken! It’s like Sean Connery always watching someone else do their version of Bond.” He has a great deal more to say about remakes, Snake Plissken and how the notion of casting a Scotsman as Snake is a really bad idea, Sean Connery notwithstanding. (Fans of Kurt can see him in full-throttle badass mode in about two weeks, when Grindhouse hits the screens.) [...]

This movie was just great. The subtle humor and characterization were just wonderful. Tarantino has a way of showing and not telling, a very important element in screen writing. The conversation of the first set of girls (with Belafonte) was excellent. The ads and the other feature were equally clever albeit different. My favorite line from the Zombie movie was "This is a no-brainer." There are many levels on which to understand this movie. The more experience one has in film, the better this movie seems. Some of it appears to be satirizing film makers themselves.

I was greatly dissapointed by Death Proof and that KR would actually star in this. Horrible movie and a real stepdown for his talents. Did he do this movie as a favor for someone:

Death Proof and Planet Terror were both the shit!!! i would end there but I feel i have to explain myself for all the Friday night movie go'ers and say that there is a touch of underlined genius in the way Tarratino writes and directs his films and Robert Rodriguez has put out a slew of ass kickin', skull crackin' shoot em in the face action flicks...and needless to say these are 2 more classic joints to put in your collection and treasure for all time!!! so tell all these "critics" to shut up,grab 2 big bags of popcorn and enjoy the movie....P.S 300 is he greatet film ever made.."Spartan's prepare for glory!!!! I have a grown daughter who works at a video store, so I have seen almost every movie. I thought the movie was fantastic! The acting and directing was so true to life. The girls didn't get all "gussied up"before a night out. Kurt Russell is still at his best. This is a GREAT CHICK MOVIE!. We now own the movie, the soundtrack was equally good.
