Peter Pan Sequel Bought for British Production
by Alex Billington
December 18, 2006
Do you remember that delightful Peter Pan "remake" that came out on Christmas just a few years back? Hook definitely surpassed it by far, but that was a whole other movie. Some news from Variety on Peter Pan today, the official sequel to J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan", titled "Peter Pan in Scarlet", has been bought by the UK's Headline Pictures, BBC Films and the U.K. Film Council, who have previously produced the likes of Match Point, Scoop, Notes on a Scandal, and plenty of other great British films. The novel was apparently published just last October, and is now already in motion to be produced.
