More Consideration on The Top Ten Most Misunderstood Movies
February 21, 2007
by Alex Billington
On the heels of our incredibly popular Top 12 Movies That Were Ahead of Their Time, comes a selection of the Top Ten Most Misunderstood Movies, compliments of the good guys over at DoubleViking.com. It's an interesting look at a few popular movies "that you assume you understand on a thematic level, but you really don't."
He nails it dead on with (what I thought) was the obvious, but apparently is not, especially with Little Miss Sunshine and The Godfather. Damn good list worth checking out. I love this sort of content that really gets your mind going and really gets you thinking more about movies and their deeper meanings (as long as they have one). It touches on a couple levels, because not only do too few movies have meanings and themes as profound as these, and then secondly that the few that do are much more than most assume. So don't miss it - check it out.

Donnie Darko!
I'm still scratching my head over that one. Heard many many great things about it, watched it, came out of it really confused, got on the IMDB boards, read 1000 different theories on it, came out of that even more confused.
