Eastwood and Jolie Teaming Up for The Changeling
March 11, 2007
by Alex Billington
Just a bit of news from the end of last week that I thought I'd mention before it's too late. Another movie just beginning pre-production to watch for is the next movie being directed by Clint Eastwood - The Changeling.
This announcement comes from Variety, in regards to Universal and Imagine Entertainment "fast-tracking" the film. The story, which is apparently based on real occurrences in the 1920s in Los Angeles, is about a woman whose son is kidnapped and later found and returned (via the LAPD), but she then believes that the child that was returned is not actually her own. Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in the lead role. The film is being written by J. Michael Straczynski, who's previously done quite a bit of work on Babylon 5 and was just recently announced as also writing the script for World War Z. The Changeling seems a bit thrilling and mysterious, I'd say, but maybe Eastwood will do something fascinating with it.
