Don Cheadle's Five Film Future

After catching Talk to Me, a film starring Don Cheadle due out this summer, and being fairly excited for Reign Over Me, his other movie coming out this Friday, I've gained a lot of respect for him - even though I already love his work anyway. Last week Variety announced his full slate of five films that he's going to produce and star in, including one he'll even direct. Although this isn't groundbreaking news, it's worth mentioning, given how phenomenal of an actor Cheadle is.
Nixon - A biopic of jazz legend Miles Davis, in which Cheadle also plans to make his feature directing debut. At ShoWest members of the press questioned him about the project, but he didn't reveal much, only stating that it's just barely in the works. They have secured the rights to Davis' life as well as his music, and this will be an interesting one to follow.
Traitor - A politically charged drama that was written and will be directed by Jeff Nachmanoff. Cheadle will star as an operative embedded in a terrorist organization that becomes the target of federal agents who eventually fear he's crossed the line and actually become a terrorist himself.
Quest to Ref - A comedy about a disenchanted lawyer who follows his life dream to become a pro basketball ref - doesn't sound that bad for a comedy.
Broken Adonis - A drama that currently has Amazing Grace's director Michael Apted attached to direct. It's about an ex-con, played by Cheadle, who forms an unlikely relationship with a border patrol officer and her young informant.
Marching Powder - A based-on-a-true-story film about a drug dealer who spent five years as a tour guide in the notorious San Pedro Prison in Bolivia, with Cheadle playing the tour guide.
Keep watch on FS.net as we update all of these projects as they develop.
