American Beauty Director Teaming with DiCaprio and Winslet

American Beauty and Jarhead director Sam Mendes is next directing a movie named Revolutionary Road, which recently picked up stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. This will be the first time the two will be back together since Titanic. But who cares?! It's more about the fact that Sam Mendes is going to be directing. Every project he takes on is always incredibly interesting.
The film is based on the acclaimed 1961 novel by Richard Yates about post-war disillusionment. It's celebrated for its storytelling style, following a seemingly happy suburban couple with two children in the mid-1950s who find themselves caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform - with explosive consequences. Filming will begin this summer from an adapted screenplay by writer Justin Haythe (The Clearing).
