The Goonies 2 Still Excites Josh Brolin, But Is It Happening? Not Really
March 25, 2007
by Alex Billington
Actor Josh Brolin, who delivers one of the most hilarious and enjoyable performances in the upcoming Grindhouse as Doc Block, updated The Goonies 2 rumors and his continued interest, even 22 years after the original Goonies. For those of you diehard fans who are still interested in what little hope the sequel has, Brolin, who starred as Brand Walsh in his very first film, kills off some of the rumors.
"Since 1985, they've been talking about that."
"No honetly, I'm not joking, I always hear about it. I hear different directors - [Steven] Spielberg. Everytime I see Spielberg, he talks about. But no, no reality to it."
The obvious question was fielded to him too - would he still be interested if it finally did happen?
"Would I do it? Well yea, yea man. It was my first film…" where then he was then interrupted by press members butting in with comments and not allowing him to finish.
Tough luck for all Goonies fans, but maybe with the right push a Goonies 2 may eventually happen.
