DiCaprio and Scorsese Possibly Together Again on Wall Street

Although The Departed director Martin Scorsese is not yet confirmed that he is even directing, Leonardo DiCaprio is confirmed as starring in an upcoming project titled The Wolf of Wall Street. "Sopranos" writer Terence Winter will be adaptating an autobiography of Jordan Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration.
As much as we'd love to see Marty Scorsese take on a project like this teaming together with Leo DiCaprio again, there is no confirmation on whether he'll take it on yet or not. The screenplay will go into development right away, but the project is still in a pre-production hell phase. Like DiCaprio's Catch Me if You Can, this film would be a two-hander with an important role for a second start, too, given that most of the film would hinge on Belfort's relationship with the FBI agent who tried to make him an informant. For more info, head on over to Variety, who reported the initial news.
