A brief bit of casting news from Hollywood Reporter today announces that Ray Winstone will join Indiana Jones IV as Indy's sidekick. There isn't much known about the plot at all, but it was revealed that he at least is his sidekick. Winstone recently starred in The Departed as Jack Nicholson's sidekick and closest friend Mr. French. He'll be joining Cate Blanchett as well as possibly Shia LaBeouf. The film is currently set for release on May 22nd, 2008.

Is it just me or does the cast seem a bit to mature. Ray is 50 years old. Not that I am an age-ist, but will all the characters be using a walkers? The Indy I remember was very athletic. Perhaps the script will help, but I am now expecting Indiana Jones and the Attack of the Blue Haired Ladies.
