If there is one person you can really trust to give you a real opinion on movies, it is Kevin Smith. The man is a genius filmmaker and a genius in general. He's seen Grindhouse (just like I have) and chimed in early with a response - and it rocks!!
Fucking fantastic. So insanely good. Three hours long, but I'd have sat through it again, had they offered to re-run it. See it as soon as you can.
I think, after "Sin City", it might be Robert's best flick to date. Totally fun and really enjoyable.
And "Death Proof" plays like The Sixth Film From Quentin Tarantino. Loved it. Fucking loved it.
If that doesn't get you that much more excited for Grindhouse, then just wait until we start publishing all of our articles soon! Get ready for the Grindhouse experience - it will change your life! Thanks to SlashFilm for the initial news.

Not a fan of Kevin Smith at all. I don't see any genius in his filmmaking.

Amen, Zach. Has anyone actually watched Clerks?

Just curious, was anyone rooting for kurt russell at the end? I thought those girls were so obnoxious.

I'll admit the girls were obnoxious, but tell me you didn't applaud at the end! The whole theater exploded in applause. This has to be the most fun I've had at the movies in a long time.
And Kevin Smith is great (mall rats notwithstanding)

Yeah, I really trust the opinion of Kevin Smith. After all, he's such a MASTER of cinema. *eyes rolled* If I needed any more reason to stay away from "Grindhouse", (and obviously, given how hard it bombed, most people DON'T need any more reason) then Kevin Smith just provided it.

So, Box Office performance determines if a movie is any good? Hmmmmmm… I guess Wild Hogs @ $145M so far, and was #1 for a couple of weeks, must've ROCKED!
