O'Toole Cast in The Christmas Cottage
April 5, 2007
by Alex Billington
This is one of the oddest news stories you'll hear all month. Hollywood has finally branched out to adapting paintings - yes you heard right, paintings. The Thomas Kinkade painting named The Christmas Cottage (seen to the right) is the inspiration behind a Lionsgate film by the same name. And who's set to star? None other than Peter O'Toole, our favorite lady-loving actor of all time. It's set to be directed by Michael Campus and be filmed this month for a December release. The film is partly biographical and based on events that led American painter Kinkade to become an artist. O'Toole will play a painter Glen Weissler, based on one of Kinkade's mentors.
Sorry, it's a slow news day and nothing interests me more than Peter O'Toole. The world is poised to see how well Grindhouse does tomorrow.
