Tom Hanks Back for Angels and Demons

I guess the "somewhat" failure of The Da Vinci Code early last summer "somewhat" phased star Tom Hanks, but not enough that a big paycheck couldn't swing him to come back again for the prequel, Angels & Demons. After the financial success of The Da Vinci Code, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman was hired to adapt the other Dan Brown novel that was released in 2000. The scoop comes from Cinema Blend, who also claims that Hanks is going to be paid the "biggest salary ever paid to an actor in the history of Hollywood."
The film already has a release date set of December 19th, 2008. Director Ron Howard is also expected to return this time as well, but nothing is yet confirmed. Angels & Demons deals with morality as the debate between science and religion. A plot to blow up the Vatican unfolds during the conclave to reveal many hidden secrets and mysteries. I haven't read the book, but let's hope this one delivers some better punches and more entertainment than The Da Vinci Code, which was "somewhat" of a let down even for me, a fan of that book.
