Bruce Willis Confirms - Die Hard 4 Will Be PG-13

by Alex Billington
Just a few days ago, right before the beast that is Spider-Man 3 swept the box offices worldwide, a bit of news came out about Live Free or Die Hard, a bit of upsetting news. In an interview with Bruce Willis in Vanity Fair, he said that it would be rated PG-13, now it's confirmed, but with a bit more enthusiasm that was initially missing the first time.
Confirmed again via AICN, Willis updated them, "He feels this Die Hard is right there with the original - and that if you didn't know it was PG-13, you couldn't tell, because it got him to the edge of his seat at least 6 times. Now, it might not have as many 'fucks' as in the past, but the action and intensity - he swears is there."
The whole internet now seems a bit skeptical, with concerns being voiced on SlashFilm and the biggest from Cinematical, who says something that I think is key here, "I've got a lot of friends who say they won't go see a 'PG-13' Die Hard film." Now just multiply that by a LOT of people, and you get the idea. I think this is really going to hurt it. They think that by lowering it it's going to open the doors to "young kids" when they're completely missing the point that it's the older guys and older generations who love the Die Hard movies and who have even seen the first three to begin with. What a shame Fox, but the door is open to prove me wrong on June 27th.

Who cares if it is PG-13. It's Die Hard! It's going to be awesome. Rated R movies are overrated! They won't sacrifice the quality of this beloved franchise. You just won't have to listen to the F-word as often, which would be a nice change to pace in my opinion.

This is not a good idea.
A Die hard movie rated pg13 is not die hard but "leave the world peacefully"
This is a huge mistake I am sure. I know, some may feel relieved to not have to listen to the f-word as often, but they probably do not risk eating after 8pm too. So no, I rather have realistic language than some script like bloomy language.
What would the sopranos have been like without that… It is not the need of dirty language for whatever reason, it is the need of a believable scenario and acting. Which includes reallife dialogue, which is never reached in a tv show or movie anyways…and even less if the characters are so hard to identify with because they cant bring a "sh!t" over their lips however freaked out they are.
I just hope they dont cut the violent scenes.
I want DIE HARD not another teenage action flick :ยด-(
