Flight of the Living Dead Picked By New Line + Trailer
May 7, 2007

New Line Cinema must think they have another Snakes on a Plane on their hands (except something that'll be successful and won't unfortunately flop in theaters). Except this one doesn't have snakes, it has zombies. It's called Flight of the Living Dead (originally called Plane Dead) and is an independent B-movie about, well, zombies on a plane. The good news I guess is that it's not a big investment, which means even if it doesn't fare well at the box office they'll still make some money.
Enough about the box office! Onto the trailer and considerations for this B-horror zombie movie, and if it'll even get a theatrical release or straight-to-DVD, absolutely killing anything I'm writing right now.
This bit of news is thanks to Twitch Film, who's been following the film quite a bit, including mentioning details about its upcoming screenings at Marché du Film in Cannes and the Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film. I won't say I'm very interested in this, but it may be worth adding to a collection of other B-movie zombie flicks.
Catch the trailer for Flight of the Living Dead here:
No real release information is known about this yet, but it was worth it sharing the trailer. Apparently it's "a special-effects-packed sci-fi horror action thriller", which just about covers every genre known to man except drama and romance. We'll keep you up to date when and if it gets a theatrical release.

I love everything about this. This movie is like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. You take dry crappy peanut butter, crappy chocolate, put them together, and somehow get a delicious candy treat.
Flight of the Living Dead combines a rip-off premise, bad writing, directing, acting and special effects and combines them into what will undoubtedly be a delicious movie treat.

I love zombie movies. They are the best. Sure most of them are just the same shit. Ignorant fool gets bit same fool now undead bites others etc. But every once in a while a unique idea comes along. Like in land of the dead the zombies learn to think. 28 days later the zombies can run. George a romero has breathed fresh life into the genre with diary of the dead. I think flight of the living dead however will be just the same stuff in a different setting. If anyone wants to talk about how stupid my views might sound my email is toadsage7@Yahoo.com
