Must Watch: New Trailer for The Zombie Comedy FIDO

May 8, 2007
by Alex Billington

FidoI've mentioned this again and again, but I've really got to emphasize - you need to watch this trailer! They just keep getting better and better and this movie needs to be a hit this summer! Billy Connolly is the greatest zombie you'll ever see on screen, and it'll be the first and only time you'll ever believe a zombie has a likable "personality", if I can even call it that. Fido is a zombie comedy that's easily on par with Shaun of the Dead and one of the most original and refreshing hits of the summer, along with one of my favorite films of the year. Seriously, you must watch this new trailer!

Watch the new Fido trailer here:

Fido was directed by Andrew Currie and also stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Dylan Baker. It hits theaters on JUNE 15th this summer.

I never heard of FIDO and my husband and I walked by a theater in L.A. and saw the poster. Loving all things Zombies, I went inside and to my delight found a movie with enough heart and body parts to make me fall in love with it. So much fun!

If you only see ONE ZOMBIE MOVIE all summer - go see this one. A lot of laughs!

There were only like 50 people in this huge theater because there's no advertising. My parents dragged me down here to see it. I was mad at first, but the movie was really, really funny. So I forgive them. But everyone in the theater was laughing a lot.

That kid burying the old neighbor woman is worth the price of admission. Can I bring my obnoxious neighbor?

Are you nuts? This movie is way better than Shawn of The Dead. Shawn had some classic funny scenes but it was uneven. This had edgy lines mixed with social commentary and an evenly told story. It's directed with a very nice understated tone which makes the situations pop on their own. I recommend everyone go see it.
