By the Power of Grayskull - He-Man Movie Confirmed!
May 24, 2007

Everyone's favorite Matrix trilogy producer Joel Silver is working with toy manufacturer Mattel to turn He-Man and the Masters of the Universe into a live-action film. You may remember the first attempt to turn it into a live action movie, a little 1987 film titled Masters of the Universe with Skeletor? Apparently the pitch involves just a classic good vs evil battle using the kind of visual effects that were in 300, and interesting choice to focus on, I am guessing which takes off of the huge success of 300.
For those unfamiliar with the popular 80's animated TV series and toy line, it's about a warrior named He-Man and his friends who defend the land of Eternia and the secrets of Castle Grayskull from the evil forces of Skeletor. Like Transformers, it started as a toy line and became a bigger hit when it launched into an animated TV series. Given the pop culture references that are hitting recently, with a few in Edgar Wright's Hot Fuzz, it may actually make a comeback and could be a hit. No details on when production will start or when we'll see the movie, but we'll be the first to update you once we know more.

I just hope this time they get it right. Don't know much about the writer; but, only a true Masters fan can pen a great script filled with rich character developements, medieval history and detailed battle scenes. Hope Mattel doesn't sell out a second time! I've been a HUGE fan for over 20 years!!!

The perfect person to play He Man would be the guy that plays Nash on All My Children ABC soap. He was the perfect body, stance. He really has that He Man look to him.

TRAVIS FIMMEL AS HE-MAN.
Australian actor Travis Fimmel does have a look for the He-Man role,so Fimmel could take the part
for He-Man maybe Jessica Biel or Keira Knightley as Teela and Tom Selleck as Man At Arms.
The movie will be a remake of the 1987 cheesy movie which starred Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor.
Travis Fimmel will make a good He-Man in this remake or any actor could be He-Man.
Thank You.

Why didn't they ask Frank Langella again to play the most best/evil Skeletor at all.
Frank did a great Job with the 1987 live-action Skeletor, it thrilled me out !

Incase you haven't heard…Warner Bros. has axed the He-man movie and I'm pissed off about it. Warner Bros. You guys are fuckin’ idiots!!! I know you… I’ve worked with you in the past, and all I got to say is… You’re a bunch of pussy scallywags. You are a bunch of no-talent douche-bag nut handling fuck sticks!!! WB’s You fucks are so fucking stupid. You guys must work for fuckin’ Skeletor!!! You guys must be in cahoots with Hordak or fuckin’ King Hiss!!! I am furious over this shit! I’ve been waiting 3 years now for this piece of shit to come to light. Through the ridiculous John Woo bullshit, through the announcement of Mark’s script, and now this unforgivable act of treason. And by the way, that scum, Navid McIlhargey is an asshole for leaving! If you don’t wanna make this picture, someone else will you fucks! But in the meantime you can SUCK MY FUCKIN’ DICK!!! I’m pissed off now…FUCK!!! But He-man will still prevail in the end…BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!!

Do you know this for sure, John? My heart is in pieces! I too, have been waiting (along with a million others)! I already planned how I was going to rally up MOTU fans from around here and get dressed up in character for opening night! Did you read the latest post on He-Man.org? They say they've contacted WB and they claimed it is still technically on… Did you really work for them? How long ago? And how did you hear about this?
