Is there anyone else out there who enjoys Tobin Bell's performances as Jigsaw in the Saw films? Despite you may not enjoy the movies or like the character much, he does do a great job establishing one of the most recognized horror villains in today's pop culture society. If you want to see more of him in roles not as Jigsaw, here's your chance. Tobin is taking on the roll of the Devil in a film titled Highway 61.
The film chronicles a struggling rock group whose manager arranges a meeting with the Devil at the Crossroads, the intersection in Mississippi made famous by blues icon Robert Johnson. In addition to Tobin Bell, newcomer Nick Thune is set to star as the lead guitarist. The film is written and will be directed by newcomers Luke and Jeremy Jackson and is already shooting around the US.
As I said before, I enjoy Tobin and his addition to this film may bring a certain bit of enjoyment to it. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this film once it comes together and we'll keep you updated here on FS.net.
