Comic-Con Lists Film Appearances
June 5, 2007
by Alex Billington
The San Diego International Comic-Con is only 50 days away, and that means we're only 50 days from hitting one of the high points of the summer. After all the big releases come out and we hit the end of July, San Diego becomes the center of activity with endless debuts of trailers and exclusive footage, celebrity appearances, and much more movie related news. A couple of months ago I came up with a list of movies that should be present at Comic-Con, titled The Probable Comic-Con 2007 Movie Slate, and now they've confirmed an actual list of likely appearances.
Here is the list of what they're calling preliminary presenters under consideration, as officially posted by Comic-Con.
Alien vs. Predator 2: No Peace On Earth
American Gangster
Babylon A.D.
Balls of Fury
Beowulf
The Bourne Ultimatum
Coraline
Fred Claus
Get Smart
The Golden Compass
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
I Am Legend
The Incredible Hulk
Indiana Jones 4
The Invasion
Iron Man
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Resident Evil: Extinction
Speed Racer
The Strangers
Stardust
Star Trek XI
Sunshine
Sweeney Todd
30 Days of Night
Trick 'r Treat
Wanted
Where the Wild Things Are
White Out
Important Notes:
Peculiarly missing from this list is The Dark Knight, but since this is preliminary, I am almost 100% sure it will be there. Also missing is Sin City 2 and Watchmen, which have both been rumored to be on somewhat of a temporary "hold" for unknown reasons.
Here's my own speculation at some of the big celebrities that will be present: Angelina Jolie (confirmed), Will Smith (confirmed), Edward Norton, Vin Diesel, Russell Crowe, Matt Damon, Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman, Robert Downey Jr, Johnny Depp, and Forest Whitaker (among many, many others).
This should've gotten you pretty damn excited for the end of July! I'll tell you we're gearing up for one hell of a Comic-Con experience, so be ready - First Showing won't let you down!

You list Angelina Jolie and Will Smith as confirmed to appear. Where have you seen that posted? Not that I wouldn't elated, but I haven't seen any hint of the celebrity appearences from the pending movies for comic con.
