We've mentioned it quite a bit before, but today there is another brief casting update for Fernando Meirelles' (City of God, Constant Gardener) next film titled Blindness. Back in May news spread that Daniel Craig who was originally supposed to star had dropped out, and that his role along side of Julianne Moore was open. News today states that Mark Ruffalo has been cast (in what was originally Craig's role) and that Moore is still attached.
Ruffalo will play a doctor who loses his sight along with everyone else in town, except his wife. If you aren't familiar with the film and are interested to learn more, head back to our first announcement about the project. If you haven't seen Mark Ruffalo in Zodiac yet, then make sure to pick it up once it's out on DVD, and you'll realize how great of an actor he can be.
