Connelly and Bettany Join Born - A Thriller with Claymation

The way this news starts out sounds all dandy, like another good flick with a good cast. Jennifer Connelly and real-life husband Paul Bettany have both been cast in a film called Born, a psychological thriller that Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth), Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin will produce. Now let's get into the story, where this film really starts to get interesting.
Born revolves around a couple who settle down in a seemingly idyllic English town to raise a family. Their perfect life is shaken when the husband, a claymation artist, discovers his characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life. Stop-motion animated sequences with the claymation figures will be integrated into the film as well. Don't get confused by the title of this story - the entire film won't be in claymation, just segments of it. Daniel Simpson (of 1999's The Uninvited), who wrote the script with well known horror filmmaker Clive Barker, will direct.
Now you realize what I meant by getting a little interesting. Sounds like there are a lot of good things gearing up on this project, and it could result in one heck of a freaky thriller, maybe even some claymation killing. We'll keep you updated on this project as it all develops.
