V for Vendetta's James McTeigue Directing Bangkok 8

V for Vendetta director James McTeigue has just been attached to direct a new film titled Bangkok 8. The film is based on a three-book bestselling mystery series by John Burdett, who lives in Bangkok and infuses his novels with plenty of Thai necessity. The intention is to adapt several of the books and shoot in Thailand.
In Bangkok 8, a detective with the Royal Thai Police Force tracks the murderers of his partner and a US Marine. The trail leads through Bangkok's drug and sex trade and corrupt colleagues. After V for Vendetta, I'm quite confident that James McTeigue can do quite a bit, and given this project so far it sounds like we may have another brilliant film in the works.
