Star Trek XI: Nimoy In, Shatner Out!

Details are starting to come out about the upcoming Star Trek XI, especially because of the popularity of J.J. Abrams in the media at the moment, who will be directing it. He's the point of reference for everything Cloverfield, and beyond that has been closely watched for both Star Trek and "Lost".
This latest news regarding Star Trek XI instead comes from the one-and-only Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner. Over at the ShatnerVision website, he revealed via a video that he heard from co-star Leonard Nimoy that Nimoy is in the script but he (Shatner) is not! Shocked? Yep, so were we! No one still knows what this means or why the heck Nimoy is in and Shatner is out, but we may soon find out. Watch the video from Shatner himself below.
Stay tuned as Star Trek XI and J.J. Abrams will be featured at a panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con in just about 2 more weeks. Expect lots of exciting news!

I think it's great that Nimoy will be a part of the film. I also heard that the son of James Doohan (Chris Doohan) will have a small part as well. Who ever thought of that was a genious. What a fitting tribute to Scotty.

I think it will feature a young Kirk. which means, another actor will play a young Kirk, but Nimoy willl still play Spock as Vulcans live much longer.
Thats what I think.

I think that Nimoy is too old to play Spock but may play Sarek, instead. Of course, he could be something other than a Vulcan…you never can tell with Abrams.

So typical of Paramount, and the people behind Star Trek not to listen to the fans. The movie idea presented at "Bring Back Kirk" is far better than this drivel. When are they going to realize that William Shatner is Star Trek.
Judging by the crappy movies they've put out since "killing off" Kirk, this will just be more of the same. Re-imagining Star Trek indeed.
