First Teaser Trailer for 10,000 B.C.

Just think Independence Day… but 12,000 years ago! This is the latest film from mega-blockbuster action movie director Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Godzilla, The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow), and is essentially an epic tale set way back in 10,000 B.C. Oh the things Hollywood dreams up these days. I have a feeling that it's not going to be as good as Apocalypto, but that's just me. Give this trailer a whirl and let us know what you think.

10,000 B.C. is directed and co-written by Roland Emmerich and also co-written by Harald Kloser. Although you can hardly see, it stars Cliff Curtis, Camilla Belle and a few others. The film is currently set to hit theaters on March 7, 2008.

What do all of Roland Emmerich's movies have in common? The trailers are awesome but the films suck. ID4 was one of the biggest disappointments ever, based on the sheer anticipation I felt upon first viewing the trailer. I expect more of the same here. The trailer looks pretty good so the movie must be atrocious.

I agree with Dan, though the disappointment I felt at ID-4 came after the first hour. Up to that and it was on course to be one of the best sci-fi films of all time, after that and it descended into mindless, predictable tripe.
The Day After Tomorrow has to be one of the most ridiculous films around that treats it's audience with the intelligence of a plankton, assuming they'll swallow any plot twists just to get the next high concept, but totally implausible, action scene.
Although this might look moderately entertaining from the trailer you know that in reality it will be rubbish.

I don't think I would have made the Apocalypto connection if not for the fact that it looks like they used the same freaking font. Why would you do that?

Call me nutz, but pause the trailer at about a minute in. Doesn't that building look like the one Emmerich already used in the original Stargate movie? Hmmm…..

i love "independence day" and "the day after tomorrow", i also thought that godzilla was just a fun monster movie. Roland Emmerich is a good director and ill give this movie a shot, even though the trailer does look like they are trying to ride "apocolypto's" coat tails.
( i dont really see a plot either, but maybe it will surprize us all. )

I just watch the trailer of 10000 BC and I must admit that the movie looks great.
One more must-see movie to add to my list.
