G.I. Joe Movie Will Feature COBRA!

Catching up on some news over the weekend, via Latino Review, confirmation has come from a Hasbro executive who stated that the G.I. Joe movie in the works would feature "a contemporary GI JOE vs COBRA story, inspired by the comic books." The G.I. Joe film has been mentioned previously as being in the works, but it's not even as far as a script just yet. Given the immense success of Transformers, Hollywood is turning every last 80's franchise into a feature film. The biggest worry is if they'll be up at the same level as Transformers or just mediocre money-makers.
The good news coming from this is that it will feature COBRA. The COBRAs are a villainous terrorist organization that Hasbro also put out as a toy line to complete the G.I. Joe series with a good guys and bad guys (the COBRAs) set. Original script reviews also at Latino Review seemed to be missing the COBRA Organization, but alas they've finally been confirmed. The report also says that they haven't received a real script yet, but they're hoping to have one soon.
Hopefully this news of the COBRAs is good, as I'm hoping that the G.I. Joe movie is even better than Transformers, if that is at all possible. As long as they keep turning out great, I'm all for more 80's franchises. However with Hollywood it's unlikely that every last one will turn out good.

Alex….you had better be familiar with this Franchise unlike your weak familiarity with Transformers.
You've got time…start watching the cartoons.

Is it just me or has Hollywood run out of fresh ideas? I mean, when that they have started making movies based on 80's cartoons and toy lines must be a sure sign that they've milked the proverbial cow dry.
