nice episode.
I looked up at a marquee at Arcliught Hollywood the other day and saw, "Who's Your Caddy?" premiering in the Dome. Half my hair fell out immediately- it's worse than cancer.

Hey! I recently found this website, and realized today that you did weekly episodes. So being my rather bored, teenage self in the middle of summer, I tuned in.
And dang, I tuned in on the right episode. I loved hearing you guys talk about 2D animation. It was nice to hear some compliments on some of my old favorites. I'm really hoping Disney goes back to 2D stuff soon, because I and sick to death of second rate furry animal CGI movies with no real plot. I'm still waiting for the next culture changing 2D masterpiece.
Your opinions on anime were cool too. It really is a beautiful art, and shows how dynamic and beautiful modern movie animation from the States could be if only people put the effort into it. It's a shame we end up with Home On The Range and crud like that.
And I can't believe Disney lost so much money on Treasure Planet; it was a great, great movie - one of my favorites. Also, you really should watch Titan AE. It's also an amazing movie and forever has a place in my DVD collection.

Loved that you used the "Matt Damon" cue on Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, but you missed the cue for Titan AE! We need a special edition of Episode 49 with the Matt Damon cue.

Liked this show. I'm a little behind, but it sounds like you guys are too, so now I'm caught up.
Anyway, loved the animation show. It was cool the way you sort of split it up into 3 categories: Disney, anime, everything else. I was amazed how many you remembered to mention. I kept hinking, oh they're going to forget Fantasia 2000… but nope, you nailed it. One of the better, more overlooked movies (I saw it on IMAX - wow).
And props for mentioning The Secret of NIMH. That is a really great movie.
See you for he next episode guys.

Apparently episode 50 is now right up there with "Chinese Democracy" by Guns 'N Roses as things we'll never, ever see.

A couple of the guys decided it was time to leave FirstShowing and start doing their own thing. Alex is working on getting another group together to start the show up again, but has just been swamped with recovering from Comic Con and heading off to TIFF and such. Just an FYI for all the HypeCast fans.
