Guy Ritchie To Direct The Gamekeeper

One of my own favorite directors, Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels & Snatch), has been off and on in our news recently as his next film titled RocknRolla, a British gangster flick, is starting to come together. Not only is that exciting enough, but also announced today is another film he's set to direct following RocknRolla titled The Gamekeeper. The film is based on the Virgin Comics series about a reclusive caretaker of a Scottish estate with infinite knowledge of the behaviors of all animal species.
The story in the comic revolves around the Gamekeeper's abilities. When the alleged killer of his son surfaces, the caretaker finds that Europe's urban jungle is not so unlike that of the natural landscape to which he's accustomed.
The concept for the comic book was originally created by Guy Ritchie himself; making him the absolute perfect choice to direct the film adaptation. Other writers and illustrators handle the remainder of the series' development. We'll keep you updated as this project develops over time.
