Worth Watching - Aug 18: Walk Hard Trailer

I'm going to be honest - I didn't like Walk the Line at all, I'm not a fan of Johnny Cash, and I'm not looking forward to Walk Hard. It just doesn't excite me at all, and I've been building more and more disdain for John C. Reilly. However, there are fans of everything I just mentioned above, so I've got a feeling this will end up being pretty big. It's a spoof of Walk the Line and musical biopics that's coming from the Judd Apatow team (yet again). This trailer ran in front of Superbad, so in case you haven't seen it or want to catch it again - here you go!

It looks like Talladega Nights with a microphone. You can count on it at least being funny. Why the disdain for Reilly? My only complaint is Will Ferrell has done this sort of thing a hundred times, wouldn't mind a little originality.

Trailer isn't exactly clicking for me either. Judd Apatow owned this summer in my opinion (sorry Transformers fans). His two movies showed what word-of-mouth and great marketing can do. I'm not feeling it in this trailer though, especially from John C. Reilly, who I will argue is very good in several movies (Boogie Nights, A Prairie Home Companion, The Good Girl, and Casualties of War). This looks like cheap jokes from an actor I expect more from. Hope I'm wrong.

I remember hearing about this. It's not just a Walk the Line spoof, it's a spoof of all of the music biopics that have been done.
