Awesome New Iron Man Poster!
October 4, 2007
by Alex Billington
Paramount has introduced a new teaser poster for the upcoming Iron Man movie from Marvel Entertainment. I've been saying all along that Iron Man is going to be one of the best movies of next summer. This poster looks fantastic - I wish I had a few to put up on my walls to start building the hype and excitement up until next May. For now, check out the latest poster online below for Jon Favreau's Iron Man!
The other Iron Man posters released include the very first teaser poster, a newer poster used for banners at Comic-Con, and a comic-like poster from Comic-Con as well. You can also watch the trailer that was released fairly recently.

Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes, and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Iron Man tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. Upon his return to America, Tony must come to terms with his past. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.
Iron Man hits theaters worldwide, kicking off the summer, on May 2nd, 2008!

I thought it might be funny to mention that when I first saw this poster at the AMC River East (Downtown Chicago), there were some other guys/girls looking at the posters also… I CLEARLY knew who this is (grew up with Iron Man) and got such a kick out of what one of the guys said; "This must be the new Spawn movie that's coming out." HAHAH Spawn ?

Falling in love with this super-hero movie more and more, then i hear the news of a Deathlok movie!?!?! YESSSSS!!! They're pulling some odd heroes to franchise', some work, some don't…but with each one, i only wish i could step back in time to the late 70's when i got into marvel with my first 'marvel Team Up' comic (Spiderman & Captain Britain!) and start hearing about and getting over-excited about the films to come my way.
The kids are loving this stuff for sure (though they're spoilt by the gaming graphics of everyday life to really appreciate the fact this stuff is finally making it to a movie screen in glorious style), and whilst folk like me are bringing them up, scraping in with time to catch these movies as they should be seen (at the cinema-not on pirate dvd!), the one thing i think of when watching a trailer like Iron Man is being straight back to childhood and the comic reading of the past…the thought? "man, i wish i could fly, and do that stuff"!!!
They could go for gold with the mains of Marvel, but they're picking up the gravelly, gritty, even lesser background heroes that people just haven't heard of which is fantastic! Then they bring the big guns in at the same time! Yes!
Downey Jr. is absolutely superb as Stark, out of character for him, and totally into it.
From me to marvel and the film-makers, i don't have as much time to enjoy comic books anymore (as much as i want to), but when my kids get excited about seeing the latest hero movie on the screen, and know how much i want to see it with them…i thank you.
May can't come fast enough.
