Worth Watching - Oct 12: Teaser for Jessica Alba's The Eye

Horror remakes aplenty coming in early 2008! First up is One Missed Call and second is The Eye starring Jessica Alba. The movie is about a blind girl who gets an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world. I'm honestly quite impressed with the teaser trailer - no dialogue and just some intense music. This will probably end up being terrible anyway, but at least the teaser trailer is something worth watching. And besides that, Jessica Alba is always worth watching.

The Eye is directed by both David Moreau and Xavier Palud, who both directed the 2006 French horror movie Them. The film is remake of Jian Gui directed by the Pang Brothers from 2002. The Eye hits theaters everywhere on February 1st.

I have seen the original and loved it. It was creepy and thrilling. I'm worried that this version will be too "hollywoodsized" and be ruin the original. Despite Jessica Alba being good eye candy, I can't stand her acting. I will probably end up seeing this anyways. Love the music in the trailer too.

This will be exactly like 'The Invasion', looks pretty good and might be alright, but seriously? Reshoots with a NEW director is never a good sign.

The songs are from Blaqk Audio, "Between Breaths" and "The Love Letter" both awesome songs.

Did you just say that Jessica Alba is always worth watching???
Maybe worth looking at, but definitely NOT worth watching in a film. She is one of the worst actresses getting roles today and when she's cast in a film, you know right away that the filmmakers are not serious about their craft, but are rather just looking to make a buck from the non-discerning teenage boy segment.

i've seen the original film… watching the trailer, i think this movie will definitely fail in comparison to the original like any other remakes.. like the ring, etc…
