Zack Snyder and 300 Team Developing The Last Photograph

We've endlessly discussed how insanely hot director Zack Snyder is in Hollywood at the moment based purely off of the immense success of 300 earlier this year. Almost everyone wants him and new reports come in every month about another project he's directing, but obviously he can't do all of them unless he's already figured out his schedule through 2020. The latest one to add to that list is a drama titled The Last Photograph, but this sounds a bit more promising considering the entire 300 team is back.
When we say the entire 300 team, we really mean it. Starting with Zack Snyder then including the Hollywood Gang production company which brings along producer Gianni Nunnari (who's also working on the adaptation of Frank Miller's Ronin), as well as screenwriter Kurt Johnstad and Snyder's wife Deborah as another producer. From there you can imagine that they'd bring on everyone they'd need to make another movie as good as 300, although this time it's a drama set in Afghanistan.
Snyder developed the film as an original idea and is having Johnstad write the script as a potential directing gig. The story revolves around a photograph that becomes the catalyst for a journey two men undertake through war-torn Afghanistan. Although I don't think we need anymore Middle East movies and/or especially movies focused on Iraq and Afghanistan, maybe this will be different. That one sentence description is hardly enough to judge whether or not this could be good.
Zack Snyder is currently filming Watchmen in Canada and will be working on that through 2009. Other projects Snyder has in the works as possible directing opportunities include Army of the Dead, an adaptation of the Ray Bradbury novel "The Illustrated Man" and an action fantasy titled Sucker Punch. Can Zack really make these five movies without losing his mind?
