Go See Gone Baby Gone - Ben Affleck's Career Depends On It!

Almost everyone has watched Ben Affleck's acting career take a nosedive off the deep end and rocket downwards to what could be the end. Ever since Pearl Harbor, Daredevil, and Gigli, he hasn't been able to recover. Even Hollywoodland, where he stole the show as George Reeves, was a box office failure, and Smokin' Aces was another forgettable flick with hardly any Affleck anyway. However all of this could change in the next few weeks, as Affleck has stepped behind the camera to write and direct and the result is incredible. Now the problem - everyone needs to actually go out and see Gone Baby Gone! And Affleck knows it too; he knows his career depends entirely on this movie's success.
Affleck was recently interviewed in Details Magazine and he says some pretty revealing things. If you have any affection for Affleck or want to support one of Hollywood's greats, then once you read this you'll know what to do.
"I feel like (Gone Baby Gone) is the linchpin for my life. My career. I have a lot riding on it. I want [the film] to work. Badly. I mean, a shitty movie comes out on 2,800 screens? I've been there and it's embarrassing."
"Listen, I've gone out and directed a movie and made it really f—king good. If the movie's good, people will like it and go see it. All the rest of it is bullshit."
"It's pretty simple. If people don't go see it – I'm f—ked."
That last bit is pretty powerful. Now you may be asking, why go see a movie just to save a career of someone you may not even like? Well on top of Ben Affleck, the movie is incredible!! Even from some other critic friends I've heard nothing but great reviews all-around. I gave it 9.5/10 in my own review here on the site. That should be enough to tell you that this is definitely a movie worth seeing.
Gone Baby Gone really is a phenomenal movie and I guarantee most people will end up liking it. It's very powerful and makes you think, and is very well made and well acted, a testament both to Ben Affleck behind the camera and his younger brother Casey Affleck in front. If you really want to help Affleck's career and see a great movie, then you know what to do - go see Gone Baby Gone in theaters starting this weekend!

It's a gritty and disturbing movie. The language is raw; the scenes dark. However, it is a thought-provoking movie that was really good. You will walk out of the movie wondering if Patrick did the right thing.

This is an awesome movie, heavy but gripping, Affleck has outdone himself here.
