Universal's Classic Monsters Being Rebooted into Hellboy?

It should be known that Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro has a fascination with Universal's classic monsters, which include the Creature, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula and Mummy. Now with Guillermo del Toro finally working at Universal (on Hellboy 2), IESB has drummed up a rumor that Universal is looking to reboot the classic monsters and possibly even let them play in the Hellboy universe. When they asked Dark Horse Entertainment owner Mike Richardson about the possibility, his response was eyebrow-raising: "There might be something going on but I don’t think that I can talk about it…"
In addition to this rumor, IESB also confirms that a movie based around the B.P.R.D. (the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense) is in the works as well. Its progress depends quite a bit on the success of Hellboy 2 in theaters next summer. The B.P.R.D. is the government agency that houses Hellboy and Abe Sapien among many other paranormal things. However the rumor speculates that the B.P.R.D. could be in someway possibly involved with these classic Universal monsters.
We already know that Universal is working on a Wolfman movie set for release in late 2009. A photo of Benicio Del Toro posing as Wolfman already appeared in September.
As for the rest of the classic Universal monsters, I'm quite excited to see them rebooted and returning. There's some great level of nostalgia associated with them and seeing them either refreshed in modern times (like Benicio Del Toro in Wolfman) or reworked into another franchise (like Hellboy or the B.P.R.D.) makes their return even more appealing.

It will be cool to have the classic monster reboots but NOT in Hellboy.
