First Repo! The Genetic Opera! Teaser Trailer

You might have already seen the video from the Spike TV Scream Awards of this exclusive footage / teaser trailer from Repo! The Genetic Opera!, but it wasn't the entire thing. Now we present to you in slightly better quality the first teaser trailer for Repo! This time it's the full teaser trailer and I must say I'm quite drawn-in. Paris Hilton, who you may or may not recognize in the black hair singing in the middle, also continues to impress me even more. Although it doesn't look at all polished, which has me a bit worried, it does look very, very unique.

Repo The Genetic Opera! will hit theaters everywhere on April 25th, 2008 distributed by Lionsgate. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II - IV) and starring Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton, Nivek Ogre, and Sarah Brightman, Repo! is a musical and a horror movie all rolled in one. A worldwide epidemic encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however.

I knew it would be different, but this seems like it was shot on a $1 budget….
Makes $10mil. tops and I guess expect seeing this infront of SAW IV

Wow. From the Director of the past three installments of Saw that fooled millions of people into spending money on a TERRIBLE excuse for filmmaking comes a "groundbreaking" new idea that will have you wasting your money in a whole new way! Come on people? Paris Hilton and a tag line that includes the phrase "The repossession clause is a killer, however"? Please don't encourage this. Being different doesn't always earn you artistic merit.

Sarah Brightman is in this…that's enough for me, although it looks interesting for other reasons. Paris Hilton doesn't really even bother me….as long as there is lotsa Brightman, I'll be good, I think, except that it looks like it was made by someone on way too many drugs

Judging by the cast list on the official website, Sarah Brightman, Paris Hilton, and Nivek Ogre are not in this film at all.

Hilton’s presence will undoubtedly cast a pall on this unique musical, and that’s a shame. The directors made a mistake in casting her; her post-jail publicity had a LOT to do with it. Why would you advertise a film that co-stars Paris Hilton rather than credit the far more talented people in this film, and who have more screen time? They certainly realized their mistake with the increased negativity about Hilton, and that terrible film she released that was virtually panned and ignored.
I am anxious to see the musical, Sorvino, Head, Vega, etc., not cringe or hold my box of popcorn in front of me as I’m forced to watch Hilton play herself. At least they were savvy enough to make her look almost unrecognizable in her scenes.
