There's quite a bit to say about Kung Fu Panda. First off, I'm glad that DreamWorks has finally stepped away from Shrek and is trying something new. Second, these new DreamWorks Animation films, Bee Movie and Kung Fu Panda, actually look pretty damn good, which is rare considering the typical rule that if an animated movie isn't Pixar, it sucks. Below is the very first teaser trailer that gives a great introduction to the film and the characters within it, so check it out.

Kung Fu Panda is directed by Mark Osborne (director of Weird Al Yankovic's music video for "Jurassic Park") and John Stevenson (storyboard artist on a number of other animated movies). The film is written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. Providing voices for the film are Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, and Ian McShane. Kung Fu Panda opens next summer on June 6th, 2008.

Looks like penguins are out and pandas are in… *sigh*. The title alone reminds of that "Kung Fu Jesus" fake trailer doing the rounds years ago.
Is 2008 going to be over-saturated with clone-a-like CGI animation? I hope not.

I've been surpised by the quality of Bee. I would never have thought that Dreamworks would have able to rivalize with Pixar!
Hope Kung Fu Panda will be as good as Bee!

Ha ha, cool. I wanna see it. Looks funny.
Was "Bee" really that good? Haven't seen it.
Hey, remember the panda when he was eating… haha was funny.
I bet he doesn't get good at kung-fu but somehow wins at what he's up against and everyone is happy in the end.

Why are everyone saying that Dreamworks is chanceless against Pixar? Shrek 2 is still my favorite animated film and "Antz" was way funnier than "A bugs life". This one has potential and there's nothing wrong with talking anmated animals!
