Beowulf just recently shattered all IMAX records, and before that it was Transformers hitting IMAX theaters just before its DVD release. As we continue onwards and upwards in the IMAX and 3D world, there is one movie coming up in particular that every fanboy has their eye on - The Dark Knight. Director Christopher Nolan and his team have been filming a number of scenes, around four in total, with actual high res IMAX cameras. This is the first time in Hollywood history that an actual feature film has been shot with IMAX cameras, instead of being converted in post-production. IMAX has released a quick featurette video for The Dark Knight, but there are no spoilers or exciting scenes, just behind the scenes footage.
Thanks to IMAX.com for originally providing the video. The Dark Knight is still 8 months out from arriving in theaters, but it gets better and better with every new featurette or viral marketing game. Rumors going around the internet say that a 5-to-7 minute featurette will also show in front of I Am Legend on IMAX, but they aren't confirmed. For now, enjoy this teaser video.
The Dark Knight arrives in theaters next summer on July 18th, 2008. Keep up to date on all the latest happenings, news, viral marketing events, and everything The Dark Knight related right here at FS.net!

This is awesome, and TDK on IMAX is great, but I was expecting just a bit of footage from the movie, even though I saw some car shots and batman shots. I dunno…I just can't wait for this movie!
