Death Sentence Trailer

There was a new poster yesterday and now here's the trailer for the vengeance action film Death Sentence. I really hope this does for action genre what Saw did for horror. Not that there is a problem with action movies today, but that this looks like it could be something incredible. It's directed by James Wan, who also directed the first Saw and Dead Silence from this year. Anyone else excited to see Kevin Bacon kick some ass?

  • Hrm. I think it will be good. I like the cinematography, the pacing and style of Saw, so it might translate well into an "action" film. I wasn't sure about Kevin Bacon, but after seeing the trailer I'm convinced.

Reminds me a little bit of Falling Down with Michael Douglas. A man at the end of his rope just trying to do what he thinks is right.

This movie looks cool but I don't think that it will be as cool as what is coming up on 1/18/08..... What do you think? I saw the preview last night....did you? We are a bunch of people trying to help each other find the answers......join us at We are waiting.....

    mmmm Falling Down was awesome.
  • Charlie
Kevin Bacon has officially moved into Charles Bronson territory
  • I like the look of that. Cool me an inbred but I like a good natural justice kind of film when it is done well. I always find the subject matter of how far someone would go when their honest, law abiding family is hurt or killed fascinating. I hope this delivers and doesn't descend into either the cliched bullshit of either The Punisheer at one end of the spectrum or making the character become unlikable at the end ie Falling Down. I enjoy seeing bullies get their comeuppance, especially at the hands of normal people driven to retributive action.
  • Kevin Bacon = great actor so great movie ... I guess 😀
  • Sinner
I'll probably wait for the rental but it looks pretty cool. Kill em' all Kevin.
