First Look: Judd Apatow's Pineapple Express - Stoners Unite!

He brought about the revolution of sex comedies, now he's going to bring back stoner comedies. Judd Apatow's next big hit is Pineapple Express directed by David Gordon Green arriving next summer. Thanks to JoBlo we've got a 4-minute clip that must be seen. There's just something really funny about Harry Osborn from Spider-Man acting like a huge stoner and marijuana dealer. He does a great job, but I'm not sold on Seth Rogen. Rogen just isn't pulling this scene off, I'm not at all impressed. But what I am impressed at is the cross-joint!

Watch this clip, then we'll explain the plot after.

Here's how it's described: A stoner (Seth Rogen) and his dealer (James Franco) are forced to go on the run from the police after the pothead witnesses a cop commit a murder. It's apparently half action, with lots of guns, and half comedy. I just imagine a combination of Half Baked and Hot Fuzz with Apatow's brilliance injected. Pineapple Express is directed by David Gordon Green (Snow Angels, Undertow, All the Real Girls) and written by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Judd Apatow. The film arrives in theaters next summer on August 8th, 2008.

I consider Half Baked to be one of the top 5 comedies of all time. This looks funny...but it is NO Half Baked. But that James Franco guy is HOT. I'd watch anything with that dreamboat.

When I first saw this clip I was interested in the movie but didn't really get excited until they released more info and a trailer. Then I came back and watched this and was a lot funnier. But yeah...if dont have at least some experience with pot smoking this movie or clip probably wont do anything for you.

i loved the clip, i just wish the angles of seeing them smoke were better. its true that if ur not impressed something is wrong with you. and its really annoying when people talk shit about others about their weed. people just gotta appreciate that they have weed because some are not fortunate to have any kind bud in their area. but living in LA is great. watching pineapple express faded as f cuk = priceless. and does anyone know how to make a x-joint?
