great show- the wives were a nice touch. now I know not to screen "Robocop" with that special someone. Here are a few of my Valentine recommendations: The Lady Eve with Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyk Say Anything with John Cusack and Ione Skye It Happened One Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert Show Me Love- a Swedish film about young love between two women- amazing. The Tall Guy- very British, silly and fun- Jeff Goldblum and Emma Thompson Doc Hollywood- Michael J. Fox and Julie Warner Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind- but everyone has seen this already. Moonstruck- Cher and Nicholas Cage- women love this movie. Far and Away- Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise looking for a piece of land that they can get busy on. Chungking Express (Wong-Kar-Wai) just adorable. Mask- Eric Stoltz and Laura Dern- get those tissues handy. Lost In Translation Lucas- Corey Haim, Kerri Green The Baxter- really underrated date flick. very funny. for the more challenging love stories: Harold and Maude The Crying Game Punch-Drunk Love Breaking The Waves (Lars Von Trier) (this is rough going though- not a romance picture by any means) Happy Together (Wong Kar Wai) In The Mood For Love (Wong Kar Wai) Head-On (next to Breaking the Waves- the most intense love story I've ever seen)
