The Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep has quite a few great movies in the works, including two big Oscar hopefuls hitting this fall movie season. The first is the new Tom Cruise film being distributed by his recently re-launched United Artists, a political war drama titled Lions for Lambs. The second is another political drama also starring Reese Witherspoon and directed by Oscar winning director Gavin Hood, titled Rendition. Both have brand new full length trailers that hit recently and for any die hard movie fans are definitely worth watching.

Rendition
The all-star cast and Oscar winning director really set this above the rest this fall. It looks like it could be a strong Oscar contender if not just an incredibly powerful movie, even moreso than Lions for Lambs below. I may even venture as far to say Reese Witherspoon will get another Oscar nomination, if not a win.
Rendition is directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi) and hits theaters on October 12th.
Lions for Lambs
They've got everything right on this one to put on an incredible political drama with an incredible cast. However, even with the newest trailer out, I'm still a bit confused on what exactly the story is and why their is a dual focus on the military and the politician. I'm confident director Robert Redford won't let us down with the story, so be ready to enjoy this one come November.
Lions for Lambs is directed by Robert Redford (The Horse Whisperer) and hits theaters on November 9th.
