Paul W.S. Anderson Off Castlevania and On Death Race 3000 - Updated

Horror site Dread Central has some of the best news we may hear all month. The rather disliked director Paul W.S. Anderson (Soldier, Resident Evil, Alien vs Predator) will no longer be writing or directing Castlevania, and instead will be focusing on Death Race 3000, a remake to the 1975 classic Death Race 2000. Castlevania initially was a $50 million video game adaptation that after Uwe Boll's destruction of that genre of films has become rather shunned. Let's hope there isn't as much butchering in the remake genre either, as I know there are endless cult fans of Death Race 2000.
Updated! According to IGN's Film Force, Anderson is not entirely off of the Castlevania project. If you wish to keep following the project, read up on that info there.
